research-os is a CLI control plane that turns exploratory research into frozen, traceable evidence packs. It enforces separation of concerns (discovery → fetch → extraction → triage → contradiction mapping → review → gating → synthesis), records every action in append-only ledgers, and computes readiness from those ledgers rather than assertions. Intended for researchers, teams, and auditors who need verifiable, source-traceable claims and reproducible review decisions (including waiver handling). Key features: deterministic extraction that prevents models from authoring evidence (Law 3), claim triage and deduplication, contradiction surfacing, adversarial review, gating rules, pack freeze/publish, audit and index, and a cowork/synthesis handoff.
