https://aidev-index.lb-product.com is an independent monthly dashboard for AI development on GitHub. We track adoption of AI coding tools, LLM providers, AI frameworks, web frameworks, cloud platforms, auth services, vector DBs, general databases, LLM models, embedding models, and agent frameworks across 2703+ AI-relevant repositories.

Data sources: GitHub GraphQL / REST Search / Code Search APIs, GH Archive (BigQuery public dataset), OpenAI gpt-5-mini for README summarization. Updated daily.

## Detection methodology

### AI relevance score (0-100)
Repository's name, description, GitHub topics, and README are scored against a curated keyword dictionary (~485 active keywords across 13 categories). Threshold ≥40 = "AI-related". Component weights: name 30, description 25, topics 25, README head 20.

### Solo developer score (0-100)
Heuristic combining owner_type=User, follower count <500, presence of homepage, multiple pushes, README presence. Penalty for big-tech / university affiliation. Threshold ≥60 to count as solo candidate.

### AI coding tool detection (signal_type)
File presence via GitHub GraphQL `object()` query:
- CLAUDE.md / .claude/ → Claude Code (Anthropic)
- AGENTS.md → OpenAI Codex + general AI agent spec
- .cursorrules / .cursor/rules/ → Cursor
- .github/copilot-instructions.md → GitHub Copilot
- .windsurfrules → Windsurf

### Adoption count for usage categories
Substring search across each repo's description + GitHub topics + AI-summarized README, against the AI keyword dictionary. Counts are unique repos that mention the keyword anywhere in those fields. Case-insensitive match with BINARY collation guard against case-collision (e.g. `langchain` vs `LangChain`).
