SmartFlow AI is an open-source system for optimizing traffic junctions: it replaces fixed-cycle signals with an adaptive, four-factor scoring engine that allocates green time dynamically, predicts emerging congestion, and can clear corridors for emergency vehicles. Intended for traffic engineers, city planners, researchers, and developers building traffic-control prototypes or simulations, it runs a live dashboard and APIs for real-time control and logging. Key features: per-lane scoring using current density, predicted inflow, historical trend and fairness pressure; proportional green durations (10–60s) and starvation prevention; Gaussian peak-hour traffic simulation; hotspot pre-alerts for imminent surges; emergency 60s green corridor with minimum cycles for others; live charts, activity feed, and SQLite cycle logging. Built with Flask/Python backend, vanilla JS/Chart.js frontend, and simple REST endpoints for integration.
