ContextBar is a tool to make Claude Code and Codex usage and cost visible while you work. It provides a native macOS menubar app (AppKit popover, WidgetKit widget, Share card) and a cross‑platform terminal CLI/TUI built in Rust (no python3). Intended for developers using Claude Code/Codex or agent-driven workflows who need live session, context and cost awareness across machines (including over SSH). Key features: - Live session view, rolling 5h/7d gauges, parallel sessions and theme picker (macOS). - CLI reports: daily/weekly/monthly/session/blocks and a live TUI (macOS/Linux/Windows). - Estimated API‑equivalent costs per project/day (priced from LiteLLM rates; estimates, not bills). - Local repo snapshots (.context-bar/) and cross‑Mac aggregation via a synced folder (no server). - Optional AI Advisor (aggregate-only, opt-in). - Multiple install options: Homebrew, npm/npx, cargo, or prebuilt binaries.
