This project runs Anthropic’s Claude Desktop (the Windows Electron app repacked to Linux) inside a Docker container so you can run the native desktop on Linux/headless hosts and connect over VNC/noVNC from any browser. It’s aimed at users who need a persistent Claude session on a server (or single-machine host), especially those who want Claude to access local files via the MCP filesystem protocol. Key features: - Repackages the Windows installer into a Linux Electron app and runs it under XFCE on a virtual display. - VNC and noVNC web UI, auto-generated or user-set VNC password. - Prebuilt Docker image (multi-arch) or build-from-source workflow with claude.sh helper commands. - Configurable via .env or docker-compose.override.yml; kiosk or full XFCE modes. - Bind-mount host directories and provide MCP server config so Claude can read/write local files. - Persistent volumes for app, cache, config, VNC and session state; easy login-reset.
