CommitAI Lite is a minimal VS Code extension that converts Git diffs into AI-generated commit messages. It reads the selected diff, calls an OpenAI-compatible /chat/completions API, and writes the result into VS Code’s commit input box — it never runs git commit. Who uses it: developers working in VS Code who want AI-assisted, consistent commit messages.
