claude-tools is a reusable collection of Claude Code hook scripts (and future skills) intended to be vendored as a git submodule and symlinked into a project's .claude/hooks. It’s aimed at projects that run Claude agents/tools and need per-tool guards, read/write controls, and per-session scratch management. Key features: - Installer that creates repo-relative symlinks and updates project .path-guard entries. - bash-guard: blocks dangerous shell commands (hardening logs included). - path-guard: enforces read/write zones and per-file protection, resolves realpaths. - read-guard: routes file-read shell commands through the Read tool. - read-once: tracks reads, suppresses redundant re-reads, supports deterministic invalidation and diff mode. - always-allow: regex allowlist to auto-approve matched Bash patterns. - session-scratch: per-session scratch directory with 7-day GC. - Per-hook READMEs and hardening notes.
