A VS Code–family extension that provides language tooling for Ollama Modelfiles. It’s intended for developers editing Modelfile manifests in VSCode, VSCodium, Cursor, Windsurf, vscode.dev, github.dev, Codespaces, Gitpod, etc. Key features: - TextMate-grade syntax highlighting for every Ollama instruction (FROM, PARAMETER, TEMPLATE, SYSTEM, MESSAGE, ADAPTER, LICENSE, REQUIRES, RENDERER, PARSER, DRAFT). - Real-time linter with 18 diagnostic rules (unknown params, type mismatches, missing/duplicate FROM, unterminated strings, deprecated params, etc.). - Hover documentation for each parameter (type, default, range) sourced from the canonical spec. - Autocomplete for instructions, parameters, MESSAGE roles, and Go template variables; embedded Go-template highlighting inside TEMPLATE blocks. - 26+ snippets for common patterns and starters. - Pure TypeScript, no network calls or telemetry, works offline and in-browser; published to Visual Studio Marketplace and Open VSX. Activates for files named Modelfile or .modelfile files.
