mcp-cross-project-claude is an encrypted LAN bridge for Claude Code: it lets an AI session in one project send a single read-only question string to a Claude agent running in another project/machine and receive only the answer text. It’s aimed at developers using Claude MCP tools who want cross-project, read-only lookup access without exposing files or tool control. Key features: - Paired once (per-machine or per-project state) via a 4‑digit PIN and mDNS; Noise IK+XXpsk0 handshake secures sessions. - MCP tools: start_pairing, complete_pairing, ask_cross_project, unpair_peer, peer_status. - Spawns ephemeral claude -p processes in responder cwd with read-only tools (Read/Grep/Glob). - Configurable via env vars (STATE_DIR, LISTEN_PORT, NO_MDNS, CLAUDE_BIN, timeouts, allowed tools, logging). - Security: long-term X25519 keys, PSK derived from PIN, mDNS fingerprinting, vetted crypto libraries.
