ai-feed is a lightweight, self-hosted daily digest that aggregates AI-frontier signals (RSS/Atom + HuggingFace daily-papers), deduplicates them, and produces a human-readable synthesis plus machine-readable JSON and a Chinese translation. Who uses it: public readers of AI news (public read access) and the project maintainer(s); the live per-item "AI explain" feature requires GitHub sign-in. Key features: - scripts/fetch.py: pulls feeds, appends raw items to feeds/<date>.md, updates seen.json - run-agent.sh: runs a headless Claude Code agent to synthesize <date>.md, <date>.json and <date>.zh.json (translation done in the same agent run); runs twice daily via cron with cost cap - web/: Next.js 14 portal serving EN/中文 toggles, archive, and an auth-gated /api/interpret that calls Azure AI Foundry - Filesystem-first (no DB), Docker/nginx deploy, retention/prune script, simple JSON contract between agent and portal Operational notes: caps per source and seen.json trimming to bound growth; GitHub OAuth for gated actions; VM-managed identity for Foundry auth.
