Churro Coder is an open-source desktop client for running AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) fully offline on your machine. It’s aimed at developers who want local, privacy-preserving assistant workflows without cloud accounts or telemetry. Key features: - Structured Plan → Code → Review → PR workflow with dedicated panels and one-click actions. - Multi-model orchestration: route different phases to different models in the same chat. - Each chat operates in its own git worktree to avoid touching your main branch. - Sandboxed file access (OS-enforced on macOS/Linux; SDK-level elsewhere) and configurable per-project/chat. - Built-in spend tracking per provider/model. - Desktop app (Electron + Vite + React), plus optional gateway (.NET) and daemon (Go) in an Nx monorepo. Requires Node ≥20, pnpm, Bun; platform installers provided.
