Pardy is a local, hostless Jeopardy!-style party game: your laptop is the game board and players use phones as buzzers. When someone buzzes, their spoken answer is recorded and transcribed (faster-whisper); a Claude model (default: Claude Haiku) judges correctness so no one at the party needs prior knowledge of answers. It runs locally (TTS via Kokoro, STT via faster-whisper) and only the LLM judge/board-builder may call out to OpenRouter or Anthropic. Who uses it: people running in-person trivia parties who want an automated, no-host Jeopardy experience. Key features: real clues from the jwolle1 dataset (~538k clues, ~3,300 playable episodes), QR-based phone join, buzzer race logic, audio clue reading, inline host score edits and manual override of LLM rulings, Final Jeopardy private wagers (typed), and a Custom Board mode where Opus 4.7 + web search generates player-tailored boards. Architecture: Node server + websocket state machine, Python FastAPI TTS/STT services. Quick start requires Node 22+, pnpm, uv, and an OpenRouter/Anthropic key; commands include pnpm data:build, pnpm cert, pnpm party.
