Research Paper Agent is an AI research assistant that returns only peer-reviewed papers, journals, and conference proceedings. It’s aimed at researchers, students, and practitioners who need reliable academic sources rather than blogs or news. The agent queries arXiv, PubMed, Google Scholar, IEEE, Nature, Springer, JSTOR, ScienceDirect, Semantic Scholar and other academic indexes, and includes clickable source links for every answer. It supports multi-turn conversations for follow-ups. Implementation: Node.js backend with a simple frontend; run locally (npm start) or deploy to Render. Requires a free Google Gemini API key (set GEMINI_API_KEY). Project files include server.js, public/index.html, package.json and .env.example.
