claude-memory-router is a third‑party UserPromptSubmit hook for Claude Code that routes prompts to the most relevant memory markdown files instead of loading everything that loosely matches. It’s intended for Claude Code users whose ~/.claude/projects/<id>/memory/ grows large and causes context bloat and degraded model behavior. Key features: - Weighted selection rules using frontmatter aliases/triggers, inferred tokens, and filename boosts so single generic hits are rejected. - Pin list for always-included files and a global auxiliary-context cap (default 200 KiB). - Tools: manifest builder, orphan migrator, size monitor, and tests (bats). - Configurable via environment variables, secure logging, YAML-lite frontmatter parsing, and compatibility with bash/Python/jq. Pairs with claude-memory-lint for static checks. Not affiliated with Anthropic.
