A small agent for Claude Code that lets developers get a second opinion from DeepSeek without leaving their Claude session. It installs as a single agent file (deepseek-consultant.md) in ~/.claude/agents/ and triggers automatically when you phrase requests like “ask DeepSeek…”, “check with DeepSeek…”, or “get a second opinion from DeepSeek…”. Claude forwards the query to DeepSeek’s OpenAI-compatible chat API (model deepseek-chat) using a DEEPSEEK_API_KEY environment variable. No extra dependencies or npm packages — just curl/python3. Requires Claude Code, a DeepSeek API key (free tier OK), and restarting Claude after installation. Licensed MIT.
