A small toolkit to keep Claude Code and Codex agent configuration in sync without requiring a specific directory layout. It's intended for developers who run both Claude Code and Codex and want consistent instructions, skills, hooks and wiring across both tools. What it does - Setup agent discovers Claude/Codex file locations and writes ai-config-sync.json mapping (global and project_local sections). - Ports missing counterparts (skills, hooks, instructions, project CLAUDE.md <-> AGENTS.md). - Registers hook commands that remind after edits or block one-sided commits. Key features - Directory-agnostic mapping and configurable defaults for project-local files. - bin/ai-config-sync audit to detect missing counterparts and content drift (with tool-specific normalization). - MCP server checks for wiring parity, env var presence, and optional identity checks; secrets are not compared. - Hook scripts provided for commit guard and reminders; config path override via AGENT_SYNC_CONFIG.
