Basira is an assistive vision system developed at Riphah School of Computing & Innovation to support visually impaired users with real-time environmental awareness and navigation. It combines YOLO 26 NVM for object detection and obstacle avoidance with a bilingual (Urdu/English) voice assistant to report surroundings. Intended users are people with visual impairments who need object recognition and safe-motion cues. The implementation uses a Flutter frontend, Node.js backend, and Supabase (PostgreSQL) for data storage; documentation follows IEEE standards. The repository contains a project report and feature form (Documentation), UML/ERD/sequence/DFD design models (Design_Models), and high-fidelity accessibility UI mockups (Prototype).
