Claude Code API is a self-hosted REST wrapper around the Claude Code CLI that exposes the CLI’s native tools (Read, Write, Edit, Bash, Glob, Grep, LS, MultiEdit) over HTTP. It is intended for developers or teams who already run and are authenticated with Claude Code CLI locally and want remote/automated access (no Anthropic API key or extra billing required).
