research-paper is a trio of small, runtime-neutral skills for finding, reading, and writing academic papers within AI agent sessions (installable via npx skills). It is aimed at researchers, students, technical writers, and anyone using AI coding agents to support literature discovery, comprehension, and manuscript drafting. Key features: - find: searches arXiv, Scholar, PubMed, Semantic Scholar, IEEE, ACM, etc., returns ranked reading lists, verified DOIs, bibliography.yaml, quality/diversity heuristics and retraction screening. - read: ingests URLs, PDFs, DOIs, DOCX, PPTX, images (OCR) and produces visual multi-layer Markdown (TL;DR, infographic, section walkthroughs, flowcharts, plots) with source-verification tiers. - write: generates publication-ready papers (arXiv/IEEE/ACM/etc.), multiple citation styles, visualizations, methodology with statistical validation, simulated peer review, and flags unverified claims. Date-freshness checks ensure year-range queries use current date.
