btdt is a CLI tool for developers using command-line coding agents (Codex CLI, Claude Code, Gemini, Kilo, OpenCode, Claw, Pi Dev, Goose, etc.). It detects when the project an agent is about to create may already exist on GitHub. btdt reads only Markdown project files, waits until the project has enough written purpose, then searches GitHub and, on a strong match, prints a single advisory warning with the repository URL. Key features: - Agent integrations that install hooks/plugins per agent (install codex, claude, gemini, opencode, kilo, claw, pi, goose, or all) - Conservative behavior: warns only on strong matches and checks fail-open (won’t block agents) - Stores state in the user cache (not in project tree); empty projects remain pending - Commands: check, status, reset, install, doctor Install from source via git clone, npm ci, npm run build, npm link.
