Gaia is a local-first macOS dashboard for orchestrating Claude Code sessions across named agent personas. It’s aimed at a single macOS user with a Claude Pro/Max subscription who wants to run, schedule and supervise multiple prompt-driven agents locally without cloud accounts or extra billing. Key features: agents-as-folders (agents/<slug>/CLAUDE.md plus .claude/skills in Markdown), 10 starter personas and 5 team bundles, 15 playbook templates, project boards with milestones/kanban/recurring tasks and calendar, cron-based scheduled runs, a Plan-with-Claude wizard to generate plans from one-line goals, and an optional Apple Silicon thermal widget via macmon. Local state is a single SQLite file; integration relies on the Claude Code CLI and macOS osascript for native Terminal and folder-picker behavior. Requires macOS 14+, Node 20+, and Claude Code CLI. Not multi-user, not cloud-hosted, and not a framework for building custom agent runtimes.
